Score 89/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Robert Parker, Jun 2015
This Cabernet Sauvignon is dedicated to Mexican viticulturalist Salvador Renteria, who has been working in Napa Valley since 1962. This small cuvée of 115 cases all emerges from the Stags Leap District. Espresso, mocha and chocolaty coffee notes mixed with blackcurrants and plums are present in this wine, which is medium to full-bodied, well-made, and possesses sweet tannin and a nice plush texture. It is drinking well, and seems to have entered that magical plateau of maturity, where it should stay for another 7-10 years. It is slightly compact, but this is excellent wine.
