Score 90/100 · Drink 2025-2028, Audrey Frick, jebdunnuck.com, Dec 2025

The NV Champagne Premier Cru Tradition Brut pours a bright straw color and is initially powdery and yeasty, with notes of bread dough. Medium-bodied, it has an elegant and approachable feel to its notes of fresh pineapple, white peach, and tangerine, and on a second tasting in New York, its red fruits shone even more brightly, featuring ripe strawberries and a floral perfume on the finish. I really like this cuvée, which comes to life with elegant, fresh fruit and offers a creamy, elegant mousse and a clean finish. It can age without a problem, but it’s ready to drink now, and I enjoy the crisp freshness that shines through on the finish. This is a delightful wine to drink over the near term. Made from 40% Meunier, 25% Pinot Noir, and 35% Chardonnay, the base vintage is 2021 with 20% reserve wine. Disgorged in February 2025 with 3 grams per liter dosage, which they have been gradually decreasing.

A bright yellow/straw color, the NV Champagne 1er Cru Tradition Brut is very appealing on the nose and is made from 40% Meunier and equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with 80% from the 2019 harvest and the rest from 2018 and 2017. It opens to notes of fresh berries, sweet citrus, fresh flowers, and peaches. Medium-bodied, it fills the palate with a juicy feel and a fluffy, pillowing mousse, with a clean finish. Easygoing and quaffable, it would be suitable as a lovely aperitif or to close a meal. Drink it over the next several years. 4 grams per liter dosage.

A golden yellow hue, the NV Champagne Tradition Premier Cru Brut is packed with yeasty aromas of fresh bread dough, golden peach, chamomile, and ginger. A youthful and fluffy mousse fills the palate, and the wine leans toward a full-bodied style, revealing a rich texture as the mousse settles down, with a well-balanced and broad-shouldered mid-palate and finish.

The NV Champagne Tradition Brut is 40% Meunier, 35% Chardonnay, and the remainder Pinot Noir, with 66% from the 2016 vintage and the rest from 2014. It is forward with aromas of pilsner, pineapple, candied ginger, and yellow flowers. The palate is dry and savory, with pleasant salinity, an assertive core, and broadness on the palate, with more ripe pineapple and a bit of guava. This is a hearty wine with an autumnal or winter weight. Drink over the next 10 or so years.
