2007 Lynmar Syrah Kick Ranch

Inky purple. Brooding, slightly liqueur-like aromas of roasted plum, blackcurrant and smoky oak, with a touch of licorice Then sweet and concentrated in the mouth, with dark fruit compote flavors complemented by smoke and tobacco. Tactile, densely packed wine with enough energy to frame and lift its weighty fruit. Finishes sweet, with firm tannins and impressive persistence. This needs some bottle age.
