Score 86/100 · Drink 2017-2021, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jan 2016

The 2013 Fixin 1er Cru Clos Napoléon has quite an intense nose of dark cherries, boysenberry and crushed strawberry. There is good definition here with wilted rose petal scents developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, quite savory in the mouth, a little more forward than I would have liked with maybe too much oak on the finish. I prefer the 2014 to the 2013 Clos Napoléon.
