Tasting notes
(made from fruit picked at 22.7 Brix): Bright yellow. Explosive aromas of poached pear, candied ginger and mace, with suave florality and a hint of tarragon. Broad, palate-staining orchard and citrus fruit flavors show impressive depth and vivacity, with strong back-end snap. Finishes on a firm mineral note, with excellent focus, length and subtle sweetness.

(made from fruit picked at 22.7 Brix): Limpid gold. Aromas of papaya, peach and honeydew are sharpened by notes of lemon curd and candied ginger. Juicy, palate-coating pit fruit flavors show both depth and vivacity, picking up a floral nuance with air. Zesty acidity adds cut to a long, sappy and subtly sweet finish. I like this wine's interplay of power and vivacity and suspect that it will be even better with three or four years more in bottle.
