Tasting notes
Wafting from the glass with notes of Griotte cherry, strawberry, rose hips and dried herbs, the superb 2015 Pinot Noir Cerise Vineyard is medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered with melting tannins, lovely fragrance and a long, pure finish. It's an exceptional wine which demonstrates that Paul Gordon's hand is just as assured with Pinot Noir as it is with Syrah. Sadly, 2015 was destined to be both the first and the last vintage of Halcón Cerise, as the vineyard was purchased by Kosta Browne in the 2016 vintage.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Cerise Vineyard comes across as fleeting and lacking in depth. Dried out flavors suggest the 2015 is best enjoyed sooner rather than later. In two separate tastings, the Cerise has come across as disjointed and aggressive.
