The 2020 Angelica (Amador County) is captivating. Dried pear, chamomile, mint, dried flowers and tangerine peel caress the palate. The Sandlands Angelica is 2020 Mission fortified with brandy made from Sadie Upton Zinfandel, blended 2:1. It’s an unforgettable dessert wine that leads the imagination into the wines of a long-gone era in California.

From Mission vines planted in 1854 on the Deaver vineyard in Shenandaoh Valley and fortified with brandy made from Zinfandel planted in 1922 and then aged six years. Glowing peachy orange. Sweet, delicate and fresh. Lovely, historic wine. (JR)
