Medium red. High-toned, slightly stewy aromas of dark cherry, raspberry and chocolate. Then ripe and sweet but one-dimensional on the palate, with cherry and raspberry flavors dominating. Finishes sweet but dry-edged, in need of more pliancy.

Good deep red. Musky, very ripe aromas of raspberry and mocha. Superripe and rich in the mouth, with a slightly roasted character and a faintly animal quality. Lush but could use a bit more definition. I'd like to have seen a bit more verve. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins.
