Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2026, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2018
The 2016 Tartan is a delicious entry-level Merlot-based blend from Steward. Bold and racy, the 2016 shows off a whole range of red-toned fruit and floral overtones, all in a midweight, fleshy style that is ready to offer quite a bit of pleasure. This is one of my favorite wines in the range for its pure deliciousness.
