Tasting notes
(29 percent new oak) Deep red. Vibrant aromas of spicy red and dark berries are complicated by cola and vanilla notes. Silky and appealingly sweet, offering juicy black raspberry and floral pastille flavors with a touch of toasty oak. Finishes impressively long, sappy and smooth, with sneaky tannins building slowly and adding grip.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Bramble Hill has a pretty red cherry and raspberry scented bouquet that does not quite deliver the precision of the Aegrina Vineyard tasted alongside. However, there is fine purity here. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, fine acidity, quite weighty in the mouth with red plum, mulberry and a splash of soy on the rounded finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.
