Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2008
Pale color. Dusty aromas of peach, cinnamon stick and ginger. Fat, spicy and aromatic in the mouth, verging on exotic. Just this side of heavy. Finishes dusty and dry, with a distinctly tannic sensation. Completely different in its alcohol/residual sugar balance than the 2006: this is 13.3% alcohol and 30 g/l r.s., while the earlier vintage finished with 9% alcohol and 100 grams of sugar.
