Medium-deep red. Sappy, very ripe aromas of black and red cherry and licorice. Sweet and fruit-driven, with almost a carbonic fruitiness to its fat flavors of cherry, rose petal and sweet oak. Interestingly, the fruit comes from 14 vineyards, but the majority of it is Dijon Clone 115. Finishes fresh and dry, with dusty tannins.

The 2003 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast offers up attractive, medium-bodied cherry, pomegranate, and plum aromas with hints of Allspice, dried herbs, and earth in the background. It will drink well for 3-5 years. Tel. (707) 265-7700; Fax (707) 265-7708
