Bright yellow. Musky aromas of nectarine and flowers. Fat, broad and very dry, with an intriguing flavor of wet stone; concentrated and thick. This has good breadth and good verve. Finishes broad and dry.

The 2003 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard exhibits a greenish hue to its color as well as a rocky, mineral component, and hints of orange marmalade, damp earth, and mushrooms. Medium-bodied with a terroir signature, it resembles an earthy white Burgundy. It is best consumed over the next 2-3 years. Tel. (707) 265-7700; Fax (707) 265-7708
