Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2006
Medium red. Aromas of raspberry, plum, mocha and brown spices, with a bit of alcoholic warmth. Supple, dry and laid-back, with flavors of blackberry, cherry, menthol and smoke, along with a faint saline nuance. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and good plummy length. An adult style of pinot that conveys a sense of soil.
