Score 95/100 · Drink 2024-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2024

The 2021 Pinot Noir Winery Block pours a saturated ruby and offers lifted aromas of wild raspberry, anise, fresh herbs, and pine. Medium-bodied, with bright freshness of acidity, a linear feel, and fine-grained tannins, it’s ripe with red fruit through the finish, and it’s balanced and pure, with a lovely accent of spice that’s well-integrated. Drink 2024-2034.

The highly expressive 2021 Pinot Noir The Winery Block launches from the glass with exotic florals and spices, giving way to blood orange, cedar and clove. It's silky and round, with crisp wild berry fruits taking on a perfumed character as zesty acidity adds a firming tension toward the close. The finale turns toward the savory spectrum, leaving a saline tinge and silty tannins, finishing with amazing freshness yet balanced and structured. This glorious Pinot Noir is dreamy, but be aware that there are only 160 cases to go around.

Pale ruby in colour. Juicy orange, clove and bright red cherry on the nose. The palate is complex, evolving with cedar spice, fennel pollen, black tea and a flavour that echoes the smell of a freshly fired clay pot. Tannins are fine, sandy and persistent with refreshing acidity. (SCJ)

Medium ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Winery Block is aromatically generous and layered, featuring cranberry, rhubarb, bitters, blood orange and floral perfume. The light-bodied palate is soft and approachable with refreshing acidity and a kaleidoscope of spicy accents, and it has a long, juicy finish that draws you in for another sip.
