Score 92-96/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
High-pitched, perfumed, raspberry-scented nose. Spicy, vinous and fine; superripe and silky but with terrific cut and precision. Despite already revealing great creamy sweetness, this is in a shell today. A very backward wine that may well age more slowly than the '95. Intriguing smoky quality on the finish.
