Score 94/100 · Drink 2016-2022, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Aug 2016

Tasted out of bottle, the 2014 Chardonnay saw primary and malolactic fermentation in 30% new French oak and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. John also commented that he does not do a lot of batonnage with this cuvee either. Clean, crisp and pure, with lots of pineapple, brioche, charcoal and a kick of citrus, this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, lively acidity and impeccable balance. Drink it anytime over the coming 5-6 years.
