Tasting notes
Deeply colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 7 (all hillside Cabernet Sauvignon) has classic notes of black fruits, dark chocolate, leafy herbs, and earthy minerality. Aged 18 months in 70% new French oak, it’s a powerful, backward, yet beautifully polished and elegant Cabernet that needs a solid 4-5 years of bottle age.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 7 from the most northern hillside on the estate, is rich, sumptuous and alluring, with radiant fruit and fabulous textural richness. Soft contours, plush fruit and silky tannins give the wine its sensual, inviting personality. This open-knit, juicy Cabernet will drink well with minimal cellaring. Dark red cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather and licorice meld into the racy, sumptuous finish.
Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 7 is deep garnet-purple colored and displays scents of cassis, warm black berries and kirsch with touches of cigar box, dark chocolate, spearmint and charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, the palate gives appealing purity and a chewy frame with just a slight dip in the mid-palate and on the finish.
