Tasting notes
Glass-staining ruby. Lush black and blue fruit, licorice, baking spice and pungent floral qualities on the highly perfumed nose. Coats the palate with sappy cherry and black currant flavors that take on cola, bitter chocolate and candied violet nuances as the wine opens up. Shows impressive depth and finishes long and broad, with pliant tannins folding smoothly into the wine's clinging dark fruit.

A barrel sample of Syrah blended with 15% Grenache and 8% Terret Noir, the 2020 Le Complice has a medium ruby color and tarry, chargrill aromas on the nose, with touches of wild blackberries, orange peel and earth. The palate is earthy, with bright acidity, a gently rustic texture and a spicy finish. 880 cases are expected to be made.
