Tasting notes
Peach skins, ripe strawberries, spices and dried flowers on the nose. Light nuances of nutmeg, too. Sleek and round-textured, reminiscent of a ripe nectarine. Creamy and seductive. A blend of 45% mourvedre, 38% grenache, 16% counoise and 1% cinsault. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now. Screw cap.

A blend of 45% Mourvèdre, 38% Grenache, 16% Counoise and 1% Cinsaut all propagated from budwood cuttings courtesy of the Ch de Beaucastel estate. Closed with a screwcap. Regenerative Organic Certified. 900 cases made. Light coppery ruby. Smells of more savoury citrus pith and herbal notes. Flavours of orange pith, pomelo, redcurrant and cherry are silky and bright with a faint tannic grip and hints of herbs lingering in the finish. There's a slightly brambly quality to this wine that makes it distinctive. (AY)
