Score 91/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Nov 2014
The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Cruz Mountains has real Cabernet character in its black raspberry, currants, crushed violets, graphite and subtlely herbaceous, cool-climate-like bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, silky, seamless and sexy, with no hard edges, a focused, clean style and a big finish, it will drink well for at least a decade.

(29% new French oak): Vivid ruby. Pungent aromas of raspberry, licorice, bitter chocolate, mint, pipe tobacco and dried rose. Spicy and lively in the mouth, with juicy, sharply delineated flavors of red berries, bitter cherry and peppery spices. Finishes with firming tannins and very good length, leaving a smoky note behind.
