Score 92/100 · Drink 2025-2031, Eric Guido, Vinous, Jan 2024

The 2019 Pinot Noir Filament Vineyard is intense, with a burst of exotic spice and medicinal cherry lifted by hints of sweet mint. This is textural and soothing, with velvety waves of ripe red and black fruits swirling throughout as balsam herb and dark chocolate suggestions form toward the close. The 2019 leaves a staining of primary concentration and grippy tannins that pinch at the cheeks, leaving a lingering sweet and sour sensation. The Filament veers toward opulence yet maintains a lovely balance.

Also from Eola-Amity Hills AVA, the 2019 Pinot Noir Filament Estate Vineyard offers a bit darker personality, with raspberry, leather, anise, and wild flowers. Medium-bodied, it fills the palate with ripe red fruit, sweet tannins, and a long, mouthwatering finish. This beautiful and more approachable wine offers sheer pleasure now but has a lot of life ahead of it. Drink 2023-2035.
