Tasting notes
From a higher elevation vineyard in the Mount Veeder appellation, brought up in new barrels, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lynne's Vineyard boasts a rich, full-bodied, age-worthy vibe as well as notes of ripe plums and blacker fruits, bouquet garni, chocolate, and some savory, meaty nuances. It’s balanced, has ripe, building tannins, and a great finish, all pointing to a solid 15-20 years of longevity.

This is the first vintage of this six-acre, Mount Veeder single-vineyard find by winemaker Russell Bevan. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lynne's Vineyard displays a deep garnet-purple color, the nose slowly unfurling to offer the most provocative nose of Morello cherries, blueberries and candied violets with hints of cinnamon stick, rose oil and fenugreek, with a core of cassis and ripe black plums. Full-bodied and taut, with ripe, grainy tannins in the mouth, it has seamless freshness supporting the layer upon layer of red, blue and black fruits, finishing very long and fragrant. Beautiful!
