2013 Drew Family Syrah Perli Vineyard

The 2013 Syrah Perli Vineyard is quite a bit richer and more resonant than the Valenti, but it offers terrific balance, even with all of its power on full display. Smoke, tobacco, grilled herbs, black cherries and plums add nuance on the huge, extroverted finish. There is a lot to like here. Although the 2013 is at times a bit rustic, it is also full of personality and pure appeal.
