Tasting notes
Straw yellow and deeper in colour than the other vintages. Completely different focus on the nose with browning apple and wax and mandarin. This needs decanting. Very lively attack, but doesn’t hold up its freshness entirely. Crisp finish, though. (WS)

The top of the line Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva Villa Bucci is made from the estate's oldest vines and aged in cask. It is a richer, more full-bodied style of Verdicchio defined by a honeyed, lush quality to its ripe fruit. The 2005 reveals excellent persistence on the palate, if not quite the clarity and vibrancy of the finest vintages.
