Score 93/100 · Drink 2006-2014, Robert Parker, Aug 2006
The 2003 Syrah Tempest Mountain Terraces includes some Viognier in the blend. This European-styled, singular, dark garnet-colored wine reveals a lovely perfume of Allspice, damp earth, sweet cassis and cherries, licorice, and pepper. It builds incrementally in the mouth, revealing more intensity than it initially showed. Medium to full-bodied, rich, pure, nuanced, and impressively endowed, this beauty can be drunk over the next 5-8 years. Tel. (707) 996-1790

A huge wine with dense blueberry, chocolate, vanilla and spice notes, the 2003 Audelssa Estate Winery Tempest is full bodied with a huge texture and a long finish.
