The 2009 Pinot Noir White Rose Vineyard Whole Cluster displays fine precision on the nose and perhaps more minerality than the 2009. Vibrant red berry fruit here, briary and limestone scents that gradually unfold. The palate is medium-bodied with a soy and brown sugar tinged opening, grainy tannin and nicely judged acidity, though showing more advancement on the finish compared to the 2011. There is a pleasant austerity here and it has the substance to age for another decade.
