Another terrific wine is the 2016 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard, and it comes from a cooler site in the Sonoma Coast AVA, was completely destemmed, and spent ten months in 16% new French oak. Red and black currants, smoked earth, hints of leafy herbs, and forest floor all flow to a medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced Pinot Noir that has fine tannins and a great finish. It's a beautiful effort that has a kiss of Burgundy in its sweet California fruit.

Medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard has a bright nose of white pepper, kirsch, herbs, sour cherry and dried flowers. Light to medium-bodied with good concentration of red fruits in the mouth plus herbal hints, it finishes with a touch of grippy tannin. 150 cases produced.
