Tasting notes
Medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard is scented of fresh cranberries, Bing cherries and blackberries with notes of dried flowers, dusty earth, charcuterie and citrus peel. The medium-bodied palate offers perfumed fruits, a soft frame and great juiciness, finishing spicy. 150 cases produced.

Another Petaluma Gap release, the 2017 Pinot Noir Gaps Crown is a tiny production release (112 cases) and was destemmed and aged in one-third new French oak. More candied black cherries and dark raspberry fruit notes as well as plenty of spice and conifer/pine forest notes emerge from the glass. This is another beautifully balanced, elegant yet rich wine from Bruliam. With good acidity and present tannins, it should easily evolve for 10-12 years.
