Score 91/100 · Drink 2019-2027, Jeb Dunnuck, Jun 2019
The 2016 Pinot Noir Thale’s Vineyard Russian River Valley has more smoked black cherry, candied orange rind, and leafy herbs notes and it's medium-bodied, tight and backward on the palate. I like its concentration, and it has rock solid structure, but give bottles a year or three. It should end up being an outstanding wine and evolve nicely for 7-8 years. 983 cases.

Pale to medium ruby, the 2016 Pinot Noir Thale's Vineyard has Bing cherry and tart cranberry on the nose with bitter citrus peel, dusty earth and amaro. Light to medium-bodied, this is very Sangiovese-like in flavor profile, with firm, slightly fuzzy tannins and a bitters-tinged finish. 989 cases produced.
