Vivid red. High-pitched red fruits and flowers on the nose, with a strong mineral overtone. Vibrant strawberry and raspberry flavors pick up a smoky quality with air, along with notes of sassafras and black tea. Sweeter and deeper on the finish, which features lingering cherry-cola and rose pastille qualities. Pretty open-knit today and very easy to drink. This is the inaugural vintage for this vineyard, which is planted on a cool fog-shrouded site on a ridge above Sebastopol.
