Vivid red. A hugely aromatic, complex bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, star anise, potpourri and smoky minerals, and a hint of musky sassafras emerges as the wine stretches out. Sweet and broad on the palate, offering intense cherry liqueur, raspberry and spicecake flavors that slowly tighten up on the back half. Blends richness and finesse with a smooth hand and finishes extremely long, smooth and gently tannic, with resonating floral and mineral notes and an exotic touch of five-spice powder. (25% new oak)
