(only 15% new oak): Bright, pale yellow. Orange zest, fresh peach and stony minerality on the nose. Densely packed, minerally wine with a fine-grained texture and little easy sweetness to its strong orchard fruit and soft citrus flavors. Not a fleshy or opulent wine; as with the rest of these 2014s, the finish is dusty, dry and alive.

Not a lieu-dit one sees often. Light nose. Well constituted on the palate with structure almost dominating fruit. Wait awhile. (JR)

The 2014 Meursault Criots felt a little flat on the nose when compared to Ballot-Millot's superb Genevrières. The palate has a pleasant fatness, but at the expense of tension and race, so that the finish comes across rather smudged. I expected much more considering the quality of the Genevrières.
