(from Bien Nacido Vineyard) Pale yellow-gold. Orange peel and baking spices on the nose. Tactile and vibrant on the palate, with flavors of pear, peach and spices enlivened by bright limey acids that give the finish a firm, refreshing edge and excellent cut.

A strong effort, the 2002 Chardonnay Damaris Reserve is virtually all from the Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Barbara. Aromas of orange marmalade, lemon oil, and honeyed pineapple jump from the glass of this full-bodied, rich 2002. With nicely integrated wood and acidity, as well as a long, persistent, vigorous finish, it should provide plenty of pleasure between 2004-2007. Tel. (707) 833-0053; Fax (707) 833-1164
