Tasting notes
Medium ruby. Cassis, blackberry, licorice and musky herbs on the nose. Savory, concentrated Cabernet with a chewy texture and very good depth to its cassis, bitter chocolate and licorice flavors. I find this suaver and riper than the Rosebud version--sweeter than that wine but still built to age. It finishes with serious tactile, tooth-dusting tannins but no rough edges.

From a great site in the Yakima Valley and 100% Cabernet aged in 50% new barrels, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon DuBrul Vineyard sports a deep ruby/plum hue as well as smoky, dark fruits interwoven with lots of leafy herbs, gravelly earth, charcoal, and lead pencil. It's rich, medium to full-bodied, has a wonderfully rounded, textured mouthfeel, loads of underlying structure, and a great finish. It needs 4-5 years of bottle age, but it’s impressive!
