Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Estate Vineyard is another wine that has held up well. Deep, vibrant and punchy, the 2015 possesses quite a bit of depth and power. Dark red cherry fruit, menthol, blood orange and spice notes abound. Heavy extraction and a strong oak imprint are impossible to escape.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Estate is a powerful wine. Blueberry jam, scorched earth, smoke and tobacco add to the wine's intense, virile personality. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years.
A very fruit-forward rendition with ripe redcurrants, blackberry pie and blueberry cake. Full body, dense fruit and a full-throttle finish. A little overripe. Drink in 2020.
Possessing a medium to deep garnet color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Estate has a crème de cassis and black forest cake-laced nose plus nuances of aniseed, charcoal, espresso and cedar. Structured by chewy tannins and ample freshness, the medium to full-bodied palate is packed with black fruit and earthy layers and finishes with lingering berry preserves notes. This was tasted as a barrel sample.
