(from a 1992 planting on sandy soil that dries quickly): Aromas of apricot and smoke. Juicy, dry and precise, with mineral-driven acidity giving cut to the concentrated middle palate. Finishes saline, fresh and long.

The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Sous le Sentier de Clous had a reduced nose when I tasted it from barrel. The palate is showing good potential though, with fresh lime and red apple notes, a slight tinniness towards the finish that suggests impressive persistence. Once that reduction wears off, this should be a fine Saint Aubin.
