Score 91+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2012

Dark ruby-red. Cassis and a whiff of game on the rather wild nose. Lush, creamy and rich; in a more pliant and approachable style than the other 2009 reds under this label. Dark berry and dark chocolate flavors display good sweetness and energy, and this long wine has the big, broad, mouthdusting tannins to support aging.
