Score 88/100 · Drink 2008-2015, Robert Parker, Aug 2007

Slightly austere, but very French in style with a distinct notion of terroir/minerality is the medium-bodied, lean 2005 Syrah Paso Robles made from the James Berry and the Jensen vineyards. Offering pure fruit in its tightly-knit, restrained personality, it is an elegant, French-styled cuvee that should age well as it has no shortage of power (15.5% alcohol). Give it a year of bottle age and consume it over the following 7-8 years. Tel. (805) 227-1365; Fax (805) 227-1366
