Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2023-2036, Neal Martin, Dec 2020
The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru has another very pure and airy bouquet that reveals touches of animal fur commingling with brambly red fruit and bay leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, cohesive and lightly spiced. It pulls up a little short on the finish where, like some of Lamarche’s other cuvées, I am seeking depth and grip commensurate with one of the commune’s finest vineyards.
