Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2009
Inky ruby. Pure, perfumed bouquet of red berry preserves, Asian spices and smoky minerals. Juicy, finely etched red and dark berry flavors possess impressive depth but carry no excess weight and betray no rough edges. The finish is strikingly bright and focused, with strong echoes of raspberry and minerals. There's a compelling pinot-like elegance and clarity to this wine.
