Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2018 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown needs a fair bit of swirling to reveal subtle scents of warm raspberries, Black Forest cake and mulberries with hints of black tea, forest floor, bouquet garni and iron ore. The red-fruited, medium-bodied palate is tightly knit at this youthful stage, offering restrained glimpses at fragrant earth nuances with a soft texture and bags of freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral note. 154 cases were made.
