Tasting notes
(56% new French oak): Brilliant red. Sexy, oak-spiced red berry and cola scents, along with smoky mineral and vanilla nuances that gain power as the wine opens up. Juicy, sweet and energetic on the palate, offers appealingly sweet raspberry and cherry flavors along with suggestions of five-spice powder and vanilla. Fine-grained tannins build stealthily through a very long, focused finish that strongly echoes the spice and raspberry notes.

The 192-case 2015 Pinot Noir Sierra Madre Vineyard was destemmed and spend just under a year in 56% new French oak. It offers moderate amounts of spice, underbrush and light red fruits in a medium-bodied, supple and easy-going style. It’s not the most impressive Pinot Noir in the lineup, but it’s still rock solid.
