Tasting notes
Score 92/100 · Robert Parker, Apr 2014

The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a youthful dense ruby/purple color as well as sweet notes of graphite, oak, forest floor, black currants, dark cherries and white chocolate. This full-bodied, exceptionally elegant wine possesses well-integrated, sweet tannin, enough acidity for balance and impressive purity. It can be drunk now or cellared for another 12-15 years. As long-time readers know, Keenan Winery has been at the top of its game for a number of years, so I was not surprised to see how strongly their 2004s were performing at age ten. Tel. Very intense mountain fruit with crackling acidity, a flash of minerality and lots of oak. Tightly tannic, and with an alcoholic finish. (LM)
