1998 Venge Scout's Honor

An outstanding effort in nearly every vintage (particularly impressive in 1988) is the Venge Family Reserve Scout's Honor. There are 450 cases of the 1998, a blend of 85% Zinfandel and 15% Charbono aged in American oak. The color is a dense ruby/purple, and the wine brashly displays new oak, along with blackberry, cherry, and raspberry notes.
