Tasting notes
Hazy green-gold. Open-knit citrus and apple aromas complemented by an intriguing floral tone that builds with air. Lush and creamy, with full-blown Meyer lemon and lime flavors given depth by notes of toasty lees. Gently spicy and quite long, finishing on a note of mace, with bright acidity adding lift.

The 2004 Hawk Hill Chardonnay comes across as a grand cru Chablis with notes of citrus, crushed stones, white currants, and flowers. Full-bodied and powerful (15.1% alcohol), with admirable precision and purity, this is a beauty that should drink well for 4-6 years. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546
