Tasting notes
One of Paso Robles’ most impressive producers, former St.-Emilion resident, Stephan Asseo, continues to turn out a bevy of intriguing and provocative high quality wines, the finest of which should have excellent aging potential. A blend of 86% Roussanne and 14% Viognier, the elegant 2006 Roussanne offers pretty notes of poached peaches, rose water, and spring flowers along with crisp acidity, medium to full body, and loads of waxy, honeyed marmalade-like fruit. Enjoy this lovely white over the next 1-2 years. Tel. (805) 227-1588; Fax (805) 227-6988

About the producer

L’Aventure is one of the leading wine estates in Paso Robles, California. It was founded by Stephan Asseo and his wife Beatrice who left their native France in 1997 in search of a place to make wine without the restrictions of France’s appellation system.
