Tasting notes
Medium to deep garnet-purple, the 2015 Tannat gives a relatively exuberant nose of blackberries and red currants with underbrush, tree bark and dried brush with a waft of licorice. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firmly structured with a lively backbone and plenty of sexy fruit, finishing long and earthy. 700 cases were made.

Inky ruby. Ripe black and blue fruit and vanilla aromas are complemented by a smoky nuance that builds in the glass. Broad, concentrated black currant, vanilla and candied licorice flavors show very good depth and a touch of spicy cracked pepper. Dusty tannins build steadily on a very long, sweet, expansive finish that leaves behind blue fruit and cocoa powder notes. (JR)
