Tasting notes
The 2021 Theresa is a vibrant blend of 35% Roussanne, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Marsanne, 5% Picpoul, 5% Vermentino and 5% Clairette Blanche. It's scented of yellow apples, poached pears, beeswax and freshly baked bread with nutty undertones. The medium-bodied palate combines expansive, savory flavors with a focused spine of acidity, and it has a long, gently textural finish. It drinks well on its own and will pair widely at the table.

I was able to taste two whites from Denner. Starting with their 2021 Theresa, it's based on 35% Roussanne, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Marsanne, and equal doses of Picpoul Blanc, Vermentino, and Clairette Blanche and comes all from their estate Denner Vineyard. Aged 16 months, it has a bright, crisp, medium-bodied profile of crushed citrus, lime zest, chalky minerality, and hints of sappy herbs. Balanced and nicely concentrated, with outstanding length, this refreshing and impeccably made white is well worth seeking out.
The 2021 Theresa is floral and spicy with a dusty quality to its orchard fruits and gingery spice hints. This is silky-smooth and pure in style. A wonderful minerality creates an almost-crunchy sensation as notes of ripe apple and spice cascade throughout. It finishes with unexpected tension and an almost-salty concentration. A lemon oil hint slowly fades.
