Tasting notes
To help put the barrel sample of the 2021 in context, VP of Winemaking Megan Gunderson opened a bottle of the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe Vineyard. Possessing lovely aromas of mint, dried herbs, black olives, cherries and raspberries, it's full-bodied, concentrated and richly textured, with a long, dusty finish.

One of the highlights in this range, Hall's Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe Vineyard is dark and explosive, with tremendous structure and pure power. Black cherry, chocolate, gravel, licorice, spice and menthol all develop in the glass. The 2015 could use a bit more time to come together, but it is undoubtedly very pretty, even in the early going.
Hall's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe Vineyard is explosive and dense in the glass, with tons of super-ripe, red-toned fruit, menthol and licorice. I am not surprised winemaker Steve Leveque has decided to give the 2015 a few more months in barrel. Today, the Sacrashe is deep and concentrated, but also a bit untamed in its overall feel.
